North Wales Crusaders take on London Skolars at the New River Stadium in their opening League 1 fixture of the 2021 campaign.
Here’s a preview with all the information you need to know ahead of the clash.
Crusaders go into the match with London on the back of pre-season outings at fellow League 1 clubs Hunslet and Rochdale Hornets.
While North Wales lost both encounters, they put in encouraging displays and, despite playing with 12 men for 50 minutes, more than matched Rochdale in every aspect.
Skolars, meanwhile, have come up against West Wales Raiders and Coventry Bears in their preparation for the new campaign.
After narrowly beating the Raiders, they lost at home to Coventry last weekend.
Crusaders head coach Anthony Murray has named a 21-man squad for the trip to London.
Patrick Ah Van, Cam Brown, Ben Morris and George Roby will all be hoping to make their full debuts for Crusaders, while Alex Eckley, Callum Hazzard and Jono Smith are back for their second spells at the club.
North Wales boss Murray is looking for a positive start from his side at Skolars.
He said: “It’s a difficult place to go and they play their pitch really well.
“At the end of the day, we have to make sure we’re at our best and start the game well.
“The last thing you want to be doing is giving them opportunities to get near your tryline early on.”
