Following advice from the Welsh government and local authorities, North Wales Crusaders’ League 1 clash with Doncaster at Stadiwm ZipWorld on Sunday, June 13 will now be played behind-closed-doors because of an increase in cases of the Delta COVID-19 variant in the local area.

400 fans were expected to attend Stadiwm ZipWorld this weekend, but Crusaders will now have to wait a little longer to play in front of their supporters at their new home for the very first time.

Any supporters who’ve purchased tickets online will automatically be refunded.

It will be streamed live on the OurLeague app and season ticket holders will be able to use their codes as usual, while other supporters can purchase the individual match.

Crusaders CEO Andy Moulsdale said: “We know our supporters will be extremely disappointed and we can only apologise for any inconvenience caused, but we have to listen to the Welsh government and local authorities to make sure you remain safe and healthy.

“Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to welcoming you to Stadiwm ZipWorld in the near future.”
