The schedule for the League 1 promotion play-offs has been confirmed, with North Wales Crusaders taking on Keighley Cougars in the Qualifying Play-Off at Stadiwm ZipWorld in Colwyn Bay at 6.30pm on Saturday, September 18.

Entry is priced at £12 for adults, £10 for concessions and £5 for U16s and tickets will be available online later on today. Please note that season tickets aren’t valid for play-off fixtures.

With Barrow Raiders having confirmed the first of the two promotion places to the 2022 Championship as they clinched the League 1 title last weekend, the teams finishing second to sixth in the table will now contest the promotion play-offs.

The action starts this Saturday evening Crusaders, who finished third, have home advantage against fourth-placed Keighley in the Qualifying Play-Off.

On Sunday afternoon (September 19) at 4pm, there will be no second chances for Doncaster or Hunslet, who finished fifth and sixth respectively, in the Elimination Play-Off at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Workington Town receive a bye through the first weekend as their reward for finishing second in the table and they will then host the winners of the Qualifying Play-Off – North Wales or Keighley – in the Qualifying Semi-Final on Sunday, September 26 (2pm kick-off), with the winners taking the direct route to the final and securing home advantage in it.

Also that weekend, the losers of the Qualifying Play-Off – North Wales or Keighley – will have home advantage against the winners of the Elimination Play-Off – Doncaster or Hunslet. Details of that fixture will be confirmed in the coming days.

The winners of that game will then travel to the losers of the Qualifying Semi-Final on the afternoon of Sunday, October 3 (kick-off to be confirmed) to battle for the second place in the League 1 Promotion Play-Off Final the following week.

The final will be played on the home ground of the winners of the Qualifying Semi-Final on Sunday, October 10 (1pm kick-off), taking its place in an action-packed weekend of rugby league that also includes the Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford on Saturday, October 9, the Betfred Women’s Super League Grand Final at Emerald Headingley Stadium on Sunday from 3pm and the Million Pound Game to determine promotion to the 2022 Super League from 6pm.
