North Wales Crusaders have re-signed centre Earl Hurst for the 2020 season.
Hurst originally joined Crusaders from the amateur game back in 2016, featuring heavily during his debut campaign at professional level.
After again playing a key role for North Wales in his second season, the 30-year-old signed terms with Championship club Rochdale Hornets ahead of 2018.
However, he returned to Wrexham midway through the campaign and has remained with the club since, boasting a total of 64 appearances and 23 tries.
Crusaders head coach Anthony Murray said: “I’m really pleased to keep hold of Earl for 2020.
“He’s another player who has come out of the amateur ranks and gone from strength-to-strength.
“He had a short spell away from the club but, when he returned, you could tell he’d benefitted from playing at a higher level.
“Earl’s re-signing shows our intention to keep hold of our best players as we prepare for next season.
“He’s a senior player in our team now and will be a key part of the squad moving forward.
“As well as pulling things out of the bag and chipping in with the points, he also does a lot of yardage work that goes a long way.”
