Wales international halfback Elliott Jenkins has returned to North Wales Crusaders, signing a permanent deal until the end of the 2019 season.
Jenkins made two appearances for Crusaders earlier on this season while on loan from Rochdale Hornets.
After returning to Rochdale, he was released by the Championship club, giving him the option to look elsewhere.
The 20-year-old made his full Wales debut during last autumn’s European Championship and 2021 World Cup qualifiers, impressing in the victories over Scotland and Ireland.
He will now be hoping to impress Wales boss John Kear over the next couple of years for a place in the squad for the 2021 World Cup, which will be hosted in England.
Crusaders head coach Anthony Murray said: “We’re delighted to bring Elliott back to the club for the remainder of the season.
“He was with us earlier on in the year and showed plenty of signs of what he is capable of.
“It’s great for us to add another Welsh international to the side and he’ll give us more options in the halves.”
Jenkins will come into contention for Saturday’s Welsh derby with West Wales Raiders.
