Stephen and Michelle, who have regularly made the trip from their home in Anglesey to Wrexham to watch North Wales Crusaders over the years, couldn’t have been more pleased with the matchday experience at Stadiwm ZipWorld in Colwyn Bay.
Crusaders played their first home match in front of fans at Stadiwm ZipWorld as they beat Keighley Cougars 34-28 in an enthralling, end-to-end League 1 encounter.
With North Wales announcing their move to Colwyn Bay a couple of months back, everyone had been waiting eagerly to taste the first-class facilities on offer and see the team in action on the coast.
Michelle said: “We really enjoyed watching the lads play again after so long.
“The ground was fantastic, the atmosphere was buzzing and they put on a phenomenal display for the fans on our return.
“The stewards and staff were really friendly and helpful so it all made for a brilliant day out.”
The Keighley match was a near sell out and tickets for the Welsh derby against West Wales Raiders on Sunday, August 1 are now available, with 150 tickets on sale for seating areas and 150 for standing areas. The full capacity will be confirmed in the near future depending on the latest COVID-19 guidance in Wales.
