North Wales Crusaders A are an open-age community side and an important part of the club’s family.
Set up in 2018, the A team provides an opportunity for people to play rugby league at a level below semi-professional and develop their skills under the direction of an experienced coaching team.
Crusaders A play in the English North West Men’s League Division Four and a 9s competition is scheduled for August during a break in league fixtures.
Home games are normally played at Deeside Leisure Centre in Queensferry from March to September on Saturday afternoons.
When there is pitch maintenance, home games may be switched to Shotton Steel RUFC’s ground directly opposite Deeside Leisure Centre.
For players who have the right ability, the team can potentially provide a direct pathway into the semi professional ranks with North Wales Crusaders’ League 1 side. There have been joint training sessions with the first-team and one player has already made a couple of appearances with the senior team.
There is also an opportunity for players to achieve Welsh representative honours through North Wales Origin, Wales Dragonhearts and Wales Students.
The club welcome new players, supporters, matchday volunteers and potential sponsors.
