North Wales Crusaders’ Rob Massam says that he’s ‘excited to be back’ at the club following his return to the Wrexham-based side.
Former Welsh international Massam, who left to test himself in the Championship with Rochdale Hornets, confirmed his return to the club last month reuniting with former coach Anthony Murray.
The club’s all-time leading try scorer, Massam is a firm favourite among the Crusaders faithful.
Talking about his return, Massam said: “I’m excited to be back at Crusaders and to be working with Anthony Murray again.
“I’ve had a good experience at Rochdale and playing in the Championship, and I think that I return to Crusaders a better and more experienced player.
“I know a lot of the lads here, and the fans are fantastic and I’ve received numerous messages welcoming me back.”
Touching on next years objectives, Massam said: “I think that we have a really strong squad coming together, and the lads can’t wait to get stuck into pre-season and get going.
“The club seems to be in a really good place both on and off the field, and that is one of the main reasons for my return.
“Hopefully I can replicate my form from my first spell here and the team can be pushing for the play-offs come the end of the season.
“I’m just happy to be back and am looking forward to pulling on the North Wales Crusaders shirt once again.”
