North Wales Crusaders’ Warren Thompson is ‘excited’ about the 2019 squad being assembled by Anthony Murray as the Wrexham-based side prepare to return for pre-season training.
Having recently signed a new deal with Crusaders keeping him at the club until the end of the 2019 season, Thompson is now looking forward to the coming season: “It was a an easy decision to stay as I enjoyed playing for Crusaders last season.
“It really excites me to see some of the players Muzz [Anthony Murray] is bringing in, they are good players and I’m looking forward to be playing rugby alongside them.
“The fans are brilliant as they always interact with us; they follow us everywhere and are by far the best fans in the league.”
Thompson added: “We’ve got some top coaches in Anthony Murray and Stephen Wild, and with a tough pre-season ahead of us I feel we can kick on and become a very good side and compete for those play off places.
” I feel that I’ve learnt a lot last season and can bring experience to the pack in 2019.”
