North Wales Crusaders head coach Anthony Murray wants his side to carry their second-half performance against Coventry Bears into Saturday’s Welsh derby with West Wales Raiders.

The Wrexham side came from 16-4 down at half-time to run out 33-16 winners over Coventry in their last outing.

With Crusaders still in the hunt for a play-off place, Murray is taking each game as it comes between now and the end of the season.

“It’s all about finishing our season as strongly as we can,”

“West Wales are going to be tough opposition as I’m sure they’ll want to prove a point after the result at Queensway earlier on in the season.

“They’ve brought in some fresh faces since then and have a lot more experience now so it isn’t going to be easy facing them on their own pitch.

“We’ve just got to go down there, give a good account of ourselves and hopefully pick up the two points.

“A few things were said at half-time against Coventry and the lads responded really well.

“We’re not out of the play-off picture mathematically so we just need to focus on the game coming up each week.

“The more games we win, the better chance we’ll give ourselves of getting in those play-offs. It’s as simple as that.”
