North Wales Crusaders’ Kenny Baker was the star of the show taking home three of the awards on offer at the club’s 2018 End Of Season Awards.

The evening, which was sponsored by club partners Allington Hughes, saw the club celebrate a successful year of development both on and off the field.

Hailing the club’s progress over the last 12 months, Crusaders CEO Andy Moulsdale said: “We’re in a really positive place now, and to look back over the last 12 months, over the last few seasons and see where the club has come from to where it is now – that’s a credit to everyone involved.”

The first-team awards kicked off with community coach Allen Jones picking up the Jacquie Walker Most Contributed To The Club award for his work in developing the Crusaders youth section on a voluntary basis.

Voted for by Crusaders supporters, the second award of the evening, sponsored by Discover Wrexham, saw Kenny Baker take home 2018 Try Of The Season for his impressive effort away to Newcastle Thunder.

Head coach Anthony Murray then presented Coaches Player Of The Season, sponsored by The Fat Boar, to Alex Trumper before presenting the Jaxon Langford Young Player Of The Season award to Joey Lyons for his attitude and commitment to the club whilst on loan from Widnes Vikings during the year.

The second fan-voted award of the night saw Kenny Baker collect his second trophy having been voted as Fans Player Of The Season.

Baker then completed his hat-trick of awards as he received the Players Player Of The Season, sponsored by Wrexham Lager.
