North Wales Crusaders have added Brad Brennan to their squad for the 2021 campaign.

Brennan joined Crusaders ahead of the 2018 season, having spent time in the semi-professional ranks with the likes of Barrow Raiders, Hunslet and Coventry Bears previously.

The prop forward is fast approaching 50 appearances in a North Wales shirt, becoming a regular in the side over the last couple of seasons.

On his new deal at Crusaders, Brennan said: “We’ve got some exciting players who’ve joined us from the amateur game and the squad was looking really strong for the 2020 season.

“Hopefully, those players we’ve discovered can be really important for us over the next couple of seasons.

“I lost some weight a couple of years back and I felt like a new man. I’d probably say I’m in the best shape and form I have been during my career.

“All I wanted to do was be able to play more minutes and help out the team so that’s definitely something I can do more easily now.

“All of the squad are in good shape and that makes a big difference.”

North Wales head coach Anthony Murray added: “Brad’s got a lot of experience under his belt now as he’s played in the Championship and League 1 for a number of years.

“He’s got himself into great shape and you can really see the improvement in his performances on the field.

“Brad’s a really important player for us and the type of person you build your squad around.”
