St Helens academy product and Germany international Brad Billsborough has joined North Wales Crusaders ahead of the 2020 campaign.

Billsborough, who qualifies for Germany through heritage and featured against Wales Dragonhearts, spent 2019 in Australia, lifting silverware with Gold Coast Titans feeder club Grafton Ghosts.

After coming through the system at Super League champions St Helens, featuring in the academy side that went unbeaten in 2016 alongside the likes of Regan Grace, Billsborough moved to Whitehaven.

Following a positive start to life at the Cumbrian club, Billsborough caught the attention of clubs higher up and joined Swinton Lions in the Championship.

The move to Australia then took place for the halfback, but he has now returned to the UK and linked up with North Wales.

After penning his deal at Crusaders, Billsborough said: “I can’t wait to get started.

“I’ve been playing over in Australia and the season finished quite early so I’ve already been waiting a while to get stuck in.

“It went better than I could’ve imagined as we won the Premiership, but I want to get started with Crusaders now.

“I’ve played with quite a few of the guys before and they’ve only had good things to say about the club and Muzza.

“He’s somebody I want to play under and I’ll be going out and giving it 100 per cent.”

2020 season tickets are now on sale, with gold, silver and bronze packages available for both adults and concessions.
