North Wales Crusaders head coach Anthony Murray has named a 21-man squad for his side’s first pre-season outing at Barrow Raiders on Sunday, January 12.
After a month or so putting them through their paces out on the training field and in the gym, Murray will finally get an opportunity to see how his new-look squad shape up in a match.
Chris Barratt, Brad Billsborough, Joey Brady, Jack Cottington, Jordy Gibson, Jack Holmes, Jordan Olmez, Gav Rodden and Kieran Sherratt – all brand-new faces signed in the off-season – are set to the feature.
Crusaders’ all-time record points and goal-scorer Tommy Johnson, who missed the whole of 2019 through injury, is in line to make his return to action.
The only names missing for North Wales are Karl Ashall and Matt Reid, who are injured and unavailable respectively.
Crusaders’ 21-man squad is as follows: Chris Barratt, Brad Billsborough, Joey Brady, Brad Brennan, Jack Cottington, Dave Eccleston, Jordy Gibson, Jack Holmes, Earl Hurst, Elliott Jenkins, Tommy Johnson, Rob Massam, Ryan Millington, Dante Morley-Samuels, Jordan Olmez, Jordan Penny, Gav Rodden, Steve Roper, Joe Ryan, Kieran Sherratt, Warren Thompson.
