North Wales Crusaders have signed prop forward Jack Cottington ahead of the 2020 campaign.
Cottington has featured in the academy sides at Super League clubs St Helens, Warrington Wolves and Salford Red Devils.
After leaving Salford, the 22-year-old went to Cumbrian club Whitehaven and then joined Rochdale Hornets in the Championship.
Having signed for Crusaders ahead of 2020, Cottington said: “I want to get back playing with a smile on my face.
“I know quite a few of the lads at the club so it’ll be good to go out there and play with some of my mates.
“It’s going to be a tough season as there are some very good teams in League 1, but I think we’re going to do well with the side we’ve got.
“People may look at us and think we’ve got quite a young side, but I think we’re going to compete well.
“I’ve only heard great things about Muzza so I’m looking forward to getting started and playing under him.”
Season tickets for 2020 are now on sale, with gold, silver and bronze packages available for both adults and concessions.
