North Wales Crusaders have signed utility back Jack Holmes, who has won promotion to the Championship on three occasions, from Oldham.
Holmes was on the books of Super League club Salford Red Devils at one point and first made his mark in the semi-professional ranks with Oldham back in 2015, helping the club clinch promotion from League 1.
After featuring for Oldham heavily in the early part of the 2016 campaign, he joined neighbours Rochdale Hornets back in the third division and picked up his second promotion medal in successive seasons.
The 25-year-old spent the whole of 2017 at the Hornets before returning to Oldham, where he has spent his time since.
Holmes bagged his third promotion from League 1 last term as Oldham clinched their place in the Championship through the play-offs.
On joining Crusaders, he said: “I wanted to move somewhere else and I know Crusaders are aiming to challenge for the play-offs so it seemed like a good fit.
“I’ve been promoted from this division three times so I’m hoping to play a big part and use that to my advantage.
“We had a meeting on Monday night and Anthony Murray talked to the group about how we have improved each year.
“The goal next season is to make those play-off places and I think we can definitely do that.
“We’ve got a young squad for next season, but it’ll mean there’s plenty of enthusiasm and new players coming in will mean there’s that competition for places.
“I’m looking forward to it as it’s a completely fresh challenge for me.
“I want to train well during pre-season, impress the coaching staff and play as many games as I can next season.”
Season tickets for 2020 are now on sale, with gold, silver and bronze packages available for both adults and concessions.
