North Wales Crusaders have added Jack Holmes to their squad for the 2021 campaign.

Holmes, who has previously won promotion from League 1 on three separate occasions, joined North Wales ahead of 2020.

After grabbing two tries on his Crusaders debut in the Challenge Cup win at Rochdale Mayfield, Holmes had to sit out the next couple of matches because of a broken hand.

That turned out to be his last appearance for the club as the season was cut short because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

On his new deal, Holmes said: “I’m really pleased to sign as I enjoyed the time I had with Crusaders before we had to stop.

“We had a really good pre-season and things were going well, but then I broke my hand so I only made the one appearance.

“I’m really excited to get going again next season as I feel we’re building a good squad here.

“We all know the systems Muzza wants us to play so we’ll all be raring to go in pre-season ahead of the new campaign.

“I’ve experienced promotion at this level before and featured in many play-off games so hopefully that can help the squad moving forward.”

North Wales boss Anthony Murray added: “I’m really pleased we’ve been able to keep Jack for another season.

“Retaining the services of a player like Jack shows how well we’re doing as a club and how much people enjoy playing here.

“He’s had a lot of success at this level and that will no doubt be valuable for us.”
