Jordan Penny has extended his stay at North Wales Crusaders, keeping him at the club for the 2020 campaign.

The 21-year-old joined Crusaders from amateur side Wigan St Cuthberts and made three appearances in the later part of 2019.

Penny, whose preferred position is in the centres, had represented North West England Lionhearts before he linked up with Anthony Murray’s squad.

On his new deal, Penny said: “It was really good being at the club towards the end of last season.

“It was a big step up from amateur, but I enjoyed it.

“It’ll be good to have a full pre-season at the club ahead of 2020 and I’ll be aiming to get a starting shirt.

“Pre-season is going to help me get fitter and more used to playing alongside the rest of the lads.

“We’ve got a good young squad and I’ve played against a lot of the lads who’ve joined us in the past.

“It’s important we have a good pre-season together and get off on the right foot once it all starts.”

Season tickets for 2020 are now on sale, with gold, silver and bronze packages available for both adults and concessions.
