North Wales Crusaders travel to Hunslet tomorrow (March 8) for their second outing of the League 1 campaign.

Here is everything you need to know ahead of the clash.

UP FRONT

Crusaders began the League 1 season with what turned out to be a comfortable 40-16 win at London Skolars.

Despite leading a number of times in the first-half, London continually pegged North Wales back as the Welshmen led 18-16 at half-time.

However, Crusaders managed the game excellently in the second-half and pulled away from Skolars late on.

Hunslet sit top of the table heading into this weekend’s game on the back of a 50-10 victory at West Wales Raiders.

It wasn’t plain sailing for the Yorkshire side as the score was locked at 10-10 half an hour in.

After nudging themselves 24-10 ahead by the break, though, they showed a ruthless streak in the second-half, racking up a further 26 points without reply.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Crusaders and Hunslet have faced each other on eight occasions in total, with North Wales winning one and the Yorkshiremen coming out on top in the other seven.

The two clubs last met only a matter of weeks ago in the fourth round of the Challenge Cup at Queensway Stadium.

After trailing for large parts of the tie, Hunslet struck twice in the final 11 minutes to secure their place in the fifth round.

THE SQUAD

Crusaders boss Anthony Murray has named his 21-man squad for the trip to the South Leeds Stadium.

Earl Hurst is missing through suspension, but Kieran Sherratt is available again this weekend.

Crusaders’ Supporters Club are running a coach to the match, leaving The Turf at 11.15am.
