As 2021 will be North Wales Crusaders’ tenth season, a special edition anniversary shirt has been launched, featuring the name of every player who has represented the club over the years.

Since Crusaders were formed ahead of the 2012 campaign, the club have experienced plenty of success, lifting both the Northern Rail Bowl and iPro Sport Cup and winning promotion to the Championship in 2013.

The anniversary shirt is based on North Wales’ original red, green and white colours, with names of all 179 players printed on the front, starting from Danny Hulme at number one to Jack Cottington at number 179.

Wrexham Lager are the front of shirt sponsors once again in 2021, with the lager of social media star Bootlegger also featured. Other main partners on the shirt include Allington Hughes, The Fat Boar, A&D Environmental Ltd, Maelor Construction 2019 Ltd and Applied Nutrition.

As Crusaders are keeping their 2020 home and away shirts because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the anniversary shirt is an extra treat for supporters to celebrate a landmark in the club’s history.

Crusaders chief executive Andy Moulsdale said: “We’re delighted to launch our anniversary shirt to celebrate our tenth season as a club.

“We understand fans bought our 2020 home and away shirts and haven’t had much chance to wear them at games because the season was cut short so we’re sticking with the same kits next season.

“With the anniversary, we wanted to produce something special for our fans to purchase so we hope they like this shirt.

“179 players to date have pulled on a Crusaders shirt and put their bodies on the line for the club so we wanted to recognise them all on the front.

“I’d like to thank all our sponsors for their continued support during these challenging times and we can’t wait to welcome them and our supporters back to Queensway Stadium in the near future.

“We’re building a strong squad to compete in League 1 next season and we’re still working on one or two more quality players to add to it.

“We need the support of our fans now more than ever so it’d be great to see supporters new and old get behind the team in the coming season.”
