North Wales Crusaders have agreed terms with Steve Roper ahead of the 2020 season, keeping the halfback at the club for another year.

Roper, who has gained a wealth of experience in the semi-professional ranks with the likes of Rochdale Hornets, Oldham and Whitehaven, first joined Crusaders for the 2018 campaign.

Although the halfback moved back to Whitehaven midway through that particularly season, he returned to North Wales and featured in all but one match last season, scoring four tries in the process.

On his new deal, Roper said: “It was really good to be back enjoying my rugby again last season.

“I’ve loved my time at the club so far and I’m pleased to be board for next season.

“It was a shame I missed the last game of the season through a rib injury because I’d played in every match up until that point.

“I want to carry that on next season and hopefully help the team get into the play-off places.

“We came so close last season and I think we’re in a really good position now to kick on.”

Season tickets for 2020 are now on sale, with gold, silver and bronze packages available for both adults and concessions.
