THE FORMBOOK

Workington got their season up and running with an impressive 32-28 win at Oldham as Sean Penkywicz’s try secured the two points.

Crusaders, meanwhile, concluded their pre-season by beating Coventry Bears 24-16.

THE LAST TIME THEY MET

Town ran out 36-22 winners over North Wales when the clubs met at Queensway Stadium in July 2018.

The visitors led 18-14 at half-time through Sam Forrester, Oliver Wilkes and Ben Morris tries, with Earl Hurst and Alex Trumper both crossing for Crusaders.

Although a Dale Bloomfield try and two goals from Tommy Johnson gave the hosts a 22-18 advantage, three tries in a ten-minute spell meant Workington took the points home.
